The first step in coaching is getting to know you—your world, your rhythm, and your needs. Every mom is unique. From your temperament and life circumstances to the support you have (or don’t), no two journeys are the same.

Whether you're a married stay-at-home mom (aka- the leader of the household), a working mom, a mom of one or a mom of many—your season is layered, your challenges are real, and your story matters.

This powerful first step dives into what’s fueling your overwhelm and potential burnout cycle, using precise, insightful questions to pinpoint the underlying causes—like mindset, belief systems, and your current support structure. It’s not just an intake—it’s the beginning of your breakthrough.

2. Create a Vision

Most moms know exactly what they don’t want—burnout, constant stress, and emotional exhaustion. The problem is, staying focused on the problem only deepens the cycle of overwhelm.

That’s where coaching shifts everything by helping you to create a vision. Vision changes everything!

3. Set Goals - Goal Setting

It is important to understand that there is a skill to effective, fruitful goal setting.

Everyday WellMom coaching and planning process follows the 20-80 rule.

Also known as the Pareto Principle, which states that 20% of your efforts create 80% of your results.

This principle is adhered to to help moms focus on what truly makes a difference.

For busy moms, the 20-80 rule helps cut through overwhelm by focusing energy where it actually matters most.

  • 20% of the tasks you do each day likely contribute to 80% of your peace, clarity, or progress.

  • 20% of your stressors might be causing 80% of your overwhelm or burnout.

By identifying these high-impact areas, you can:

  • Prioritize what truly moves the needle (ex: getting quality sleep, setting boundaries, or having 10 minutes of quiet in the morning).
  • Reduce or eliminate low-impact tasks that drain your energy.
  • Design your wellness plan around what creates the most meaningful results—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

We’ll meet regularly—usually once a week or twice a month—at a set time that works for you.

In the coaching journey, one of the most important commitments you’ll make is to stay the course. Growth takes time. Transformation unfolds in layers. And life doesn’t pause just because you’ve decided to pursue wellness or set new goals.

Obstacles will show up, challenges will arise. Setbacks happen. Distractions pull. Whether your goals are in wellness, self-care, emotional or financial well-being, or simply getting the support you need to stop doing it all alone—staying the course and learning to overcome obstacles are what get you to your destination.

That’s why consistency matters. Coaching helps you keep your eyes on where you’re going, even when the path gets hard or life tries to pull you off track.

Every great captain who lands the plane safely has one thing in common—they stay the course and weather the storms.
